Chosen by ministries, libraries and award panels

Not our own claims about our books — other people's decisions about them.

Ministry of Education – Approved 8 titles picked by Malaysia's MOE for primary schools.
🏛
Books Picked by State Libraries Choice of PPAS, Johor and Perak state libraries.
🏅
Palestine Book Award 2026 Two nominated titles, both live on Alif Kids.

Written, not licensed

Every title is original Sidr Productions work. Islamic values are the spine of the story, not a sticker on the cover — which is why they stand up to a ministry reading panel.

🌍

Read across three continents

Schools and learning circles in the UK, the Gulf and South East Asia read Alif Kids today, from weekend madrasahs of 25 children to full primaries.

📈

Still growing every week

134 books live today and 150+ new titles a year. Every one of them is included in your licence the day it publishes — there is no upgrade to buy.

The 41 series and collections

In school and at home — on the web and in the app For school leaders, teachers, kids & parents
  • Assign books and activities to a class, a group or one child.
  • Most activities mark themselves — written work lands in one queue.
  • Reports roll up to class, year group and whole school.
  • Points, badges and leaderboards that keep children reading.
  • Parents follow progress from their own phone.

The objections we hear, answered

Why schools and learning circles say yes

Whole school or a small circle. From 25 children — a weekend madrasah to a full primary.
Keep your current scheme. Every level maps to Oxford Reading Tree stages and bands.
New books every week. 150+ new titles a year, every one included at no extra cost.
More languages coming. English today; Arabic, Urdu and Bahasa in production.
Add your own books. Upload your school's own titles and assign them alongside ours.
Web and mobile app. Teachers, children and parents get both. Teacher and parent accounts are free.
Reading at home counts. What a child reads at home feeds the same progress the teacher sees.
Easy to buy, quick to start. Local currency, purchase orders welcome, classes imported in bulk.
The Sidr Tree Reading Model

Ten levels that map onto the scheme you already use

Our own framework, built taking inspiration from Scarborough's work on reading development. Every published title is assessed against it, and every level carries an approximate Oxford Reading Tree stage and colour band so it slots into what your teachers already know.

SRL 1 (ages 3–4) through SRL 10 (13+). A child sits at one level; the level tells a teacher what to give them next.

Not equivalencies. Oxford Reading Tree, Lexile and UK colour bands measure different things from each other and from ours. They are shown as approximate reference ranges so a school has a starting point.

🌱

Character is planted first

Most reading frameworks start at decoding. The Sidr Tree starts a layer lower — faith and character are the roots, reading grows from them, and fluency is the fruit it bears.

🎯

A level, not a verdict

A level tells you which books will feel comfortable. It is not a judgement of ability, and we never present the mapping to Oxford or Lexile as an equivalence — they measure different things.

📗

Set by a teacher, or found in the app

A teacher can set a child's level from a running record. Or the child plays a five-minute word game and the app proposes one. Either way the teacher always has the last word.

Easy to buy, quick to start

Priced per child, per month. Billed to the school.

Local currency, purchase orders welcome, and classes imported in bulk — send us a spreadsheet and we set the school up. Teacher and parent accounts are free; you pay for children only.

GAIS attendees who sign up during the conference take off the first year. We will bring the exact figure for your school size to your demo.
